Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

We start the morning with a tool box talk and have our work allocated to us. I normally scope out the job first and then collect my tools and equipment from the store. I can be doing anything from cable pulling, bracket making, assisting wielders or collecting items from stores. This is the current placement I am on, There are many different types of work through out site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Being a more mature student I never thought i would work for a company that looks after and supports its employees. The whole course has taught me a lot about the trade and the engineering world. I would recommend it to everybody.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

It was overwhelming at first due to the complexity of the product. I have learned things that i do not even know I have learned I have just acquired it. One of the hardest parts was learning all the acronyms. A lot of it is on the job training and skill refinement
