Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my current rotation, each day begins with a stand-up meeting to discuss team progress, completed tasks, and daily objectives. My role involves resolving software bugs, developing new features, conducting thorough testing, and collaborating closely with my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying the apprenticeship programme. It has a lot to offer - support, mentorship, hands-on experience and a fully funded BSc degree.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have significantly enhanced my skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, gaining hands-on experience with front-end frameworks such as React and Angular. Additionally, I have learnt to program in Java and become familiar with the Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology. I have also improved my ability to navigate and contribute effectively within a large, collaborative codebase. Doing so, I have also learnt to collaborate with people more efficiently.

The apprenticeship programme offers a lot of support. My manager is someone I can approach and speak to about any concerns regarding my apprenticeship.
