Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role Involves shadowing maintenance works undertaken by RFLI technicians to repair damage to Elizabeth Line assets. I am responsible for gaining knowledge of how works are completed (tools used, systems to manage, procedures to follow). This often involves inspections and preventative maintenance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very happy with the programme. The management structures at TFL are helpful for whenever I have struggles relating to shift patterns or training schedule.

I have learned loads of skills particularly related to maintaining effective communication with colleagues.

It is the most organised program that I have experience with.

I receive all support I could expect from my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The level of support I get from Intertrain is particularly accommodating. It is the best training provider I have ever used.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The courses provided by Intertrain help with all aspects of the role. They include courses related to government regulations, technical and theoretical knowledge, and knowledge specific to the area where I am being trained (signalling).
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, it is always nice to get involved with colleagues from the depot outside of work activities. We often go to the café in Plumstead.
