I was on a placement year, undertaking all the usual duties of an audit assistant, completing tests and having a good sense of autonomy
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I have loved my experience here, the other employees are really friendly and helpful. Getting to work so closely with many different clients was invaluable.
How well organised was your work experience?

It was very well organised, with structured rotations and training in place. I had a specific line / buddy manager
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

It has really made me reconsider my career path and take up a career in audit as i have really enjoyed it and learned loads.
Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?

Yes i was paid the same as any other graduate audit assistant, despite being on a placement. £24k. We also get expenses for jobs that are on client sites

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

They gave me three weeks of in person training on audit theory and methodology, learning detailed information about accounting processes
Company Culture
How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I really got thrown straight into the team, working with different team members every couple of weeks, with different clients, so i really got to know a lot of different people quite fast.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

The three weeks of in person training are held in a hotel/conference centre where you can meet other assistants at the same level from their other offices, they also hold occasional socials

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Crowe UK?
Just be yourself, everyone here is used to working with trainees they understand mistakes are going to happen
