Doing overhead service changes, sometimes high voltage work like changing utility poles and other bits with the overhead electricity network
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It's been OK, but been a struggle trying to get through the coursework side of things as there isn't really much support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not organised very well, the training courses are organised Ok but actually finding day to day work there is no structure it is just left up to us as apprentices

Not much all of it is left to apprentices to sort out themselves
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

People I work with are very helpful and are great teachers and the people on our training courses teach us how to do the job so it is good
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives me a base understanding on how to do my job and then experience will help me get past any problems so it is good

Would you recommend SSE to a friend?
No
Why?
Because it has been such a struggle getting my course work together and I haven't had any help, from day 1 I've had to sort everything out myself
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SSE?
Come on as an adult trainee and not an apprentice, your life will be so much better
