Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I support the Reward team in managing employee benefits and administration. My role involves assisting with data entry, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate records of employee benefits, such as pensions and health schemes. I also help with day-to-day administrative tasks, including responding to employee queries and maintaining HR platforms. Furthermore, I am also assisting the Payroll team with day-to-day tasks. My projects vary throughout the year to be able to meet annual deadlines, such as the end of the tax year, where I will assist my team with the delivery of pay review.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
My apprenticeship has offered me significant learning opportunities to be able to understand all aspects of rewards and other departments within HR. This has allowed me to develop my skills and gain valuable experience to contribute to my growth within my role and my future career. Working in the Rewards department, has provided me with a supportive and collaborative environment making my daily tasks more enjoyable and creating a positive environment that encourages my learning.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed a wide range of skills throughout my apprenticeship. I have developed my communication skills both verbally and in writing and how to respond to situations and colleagues appropriately. I have significantly improved my skills using various IT packages. For example, I had minimal experience using excel and I have significantly improved this and I am continuously looking for more ways to improve my use of the platform.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I have been given well-defined goals from my tutor to help me understand what is expected from me in my work and for the completion of my apprenticeship. My learning sessions give me the relevant understanding to be able to complete my monthly tasks and apply them to my own job role. I have also received consistent feedback from my tutor which has allowed me to be able to excel with my work and continuously improve.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have regular meetings with my manager to discuss my progress within my apprenticeship and allows me an opportunity to raise any issues that I may have within my job role or apprenticeship. During these meetings and also in my day to day tasks, I receive regular feedback to be able to help me improve and grow in my role. My manager and wider team have created a positive environment where I am able to ask questions and receive feedback on tasks that I have been set.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I am able to contact my tutor who can offer additional help outside of my monthly meeting to be able to answer any questions I may have about my work. I also receive feedback to be able to help me improve my work and how I can aim for the highest grade.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification provides me with the theoretical knowledge to be able to apply this to my work role outside of my apprenticeship course work. I am able to develop hands-on skills that can be applied to my daily tasks and job role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
My company hosts regular events to get involved in outside of work. This includes the Bi-Annual HR conference, summer social and other events. My apprenticeship provider also offers monthly courses about topics outside of my course which can be completed at any time.
