Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I prepare annual accounts and provide back office support for various clients, completing bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, bank payments as well as communicating with customers and suppliers on a regular basis.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I can't think of any faults of my programme, other than not starting sooner :)

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt lots of new skills at Cooper Parry and have also developed all of my existing skills, I feel as though my understanding of annual accounts and accounting adjustments has massively improved and I feel more competent when analysing financial statements

The structure is much better than I experienced for previous levels of apprenticeships

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive as much support as I need, as long as I reach out whenever I need additional support, it gets provided

Massively, without the progress made through my qualification and my understanding on various taxes and preparation of financial statements, I would be limited on the work that I am now capable of doing

We have lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved with as well as the option to start your own club, I partake in the hiking club, football team and the games club

Why?

I can't fault the firm and they treat their staff very well, they also have a wide range of benefits to cater to whatever we wish, to a certain extent. They also care a lot about doing things properly and treating people well, something I can agree with
