Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
It really depends what placement your in, as we are on a placement rotation plan. Currently I work on ensuring build is carried out smoothly in the integration team, and communicating with other teams to ensure problems are ironed out.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am enjoying my apprenticeship getting involved with various projects in different placements. I believe I have the support I need if I have any issues also.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt new skills using new software, whilst also building my confidence and communication skills by talking to stakeholders such as the standards compliance team and the manufacturing team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It is well organised but I believe there can be things that can be more organised, due to some rules being enforced on some apprentices and not on the others for example moving grants.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive the support I need to carry out tasks and enough support to talk about general well-being etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I believe this could be more improved as sometimes the class are quite confused about assignments etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Not that much at the moment as what I do at work doesn't really require any background nuclear/scientific knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not really it would be nice to have more sporty extra-curricular activities.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
