Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves checking the control of project, whilst looking at the cost,schedule and risk of a project. i also have apprenticeship duties, for example working towards my KSB's with the idea of becoming SQEP.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Yes i love learning new skills on the job each day as well as constantly meeting new people. Being social is something i really enjoy and in this role you couldn't receive any more social skills that you do.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learned a variety of skills ultimately building on my communication and leadership skills. i have also built on integrity, accountability.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Organised to an extent, With some areas i still feel a little bit lost and feel most support should be given. this is getting better though.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Lots of support, with differen people such as functional leads, skills coach, placement manager, all there to support me across my apprenticeship journey.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Some support, but as its a degree they can be hesitant to support further in learning. I feel like this needs to be improved to deliver better outcomes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Yes i believe this supports me toe perform better in my role as things discussed at UNI, often come up in my placement role, so creates an easier understanding and recognition.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Why?
BAE really is a great place to work, with looking after its employees, to having a competitive salary. Due to being a social person and the amount of people that work at BAE i really do strive in the company.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Revise the BAE behaviours, be yourself, show of your capabilities, dress smart to interviews, and do your research about the company, especially the sector your applying for.
