Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role consists of aiding my manager in tasks and consulting others for help/advice if needed. I may have to set up meetings with others/attend periodic meetings to stay up to date about what's going on in the business. My responsibilities are completing my tasks and reporting to my manager as well as keeping on top of my admin and uni work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy this programme, it has been a great opportunity to learn and grow as most people are ready and willing to help you. It's a very big organisation so there's always someone able to help you out and there's support systems in place to help you settle in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have definitely improved my Microsoft Excel skills as well as general IT skills. I have also developed my communication skills both orally and written. Due to the nature of my job and the university teaching alongside, I have also developed my maths skills so I am able to apply them in an engineering context.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It's very well structured. You have a buddy in the year above you alongside your managers to help you. You have a set uni/study day. You do learn things as you go along but every task relating to professional development is periodic and you will have mentors to guide you
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I would say I receive a lot of support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The uni provides a lot of support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Quite well.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I attend apprentice socials and professional networking events
