Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role includes tasks such as client interaction and meetings, policy management and reviewing insurance contracts and invoices as well as creating contract endorsements. I also work closely with my team on all tasks for support, as well as going to social events in the industry. I am also currently studying for my insurance exams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It is a really good programme to get yourself into the insurance industry. It's very social and you will meet a lot of people in the apprenticeship scheme also.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have been able to enhance my ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, as well as learning time management to be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. I have also acquired better industry knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is very well structured as we have set calls and tasks every month which is set out by our apprenticeship provider Davies. You also have a learning plan to help you gage deadlines for exams and coursework.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
You are always supported. Everyone is always available to help you out with any questions you have, as well as ensuring your workload isn't too much nor too little. It is a good balance alongside the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
You get given a lot of revision materials as well as monthly workshops.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It's very helpful as you can relate what you have learnt from your revision/exams back into your role and you notice this when you are completing everyday tasks or even at networking events discussing the industry with people.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, many activities to get involved in. Aon have BRG groups that you can join which all hold their own events. Each team often do many activities together as well.
