Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Analysing the data that we obtain on how customers behave and interact with our onboarding journeys i.e. applying for a product with us. Using this to recommend optimisations to better improve the experience for the customer
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme and being able to incorporate what I learn into my practical day to day work. I enjoy learning technical skills and having the various tools I need to understand things better.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learned problem solving skills, communicating insights and how collaborate effectively with team members to reach the end goal. Also technical skills such as coding in SQL, visualising in Power BI.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I'm very clear on the milestones in my programme e.g. I have 4 residential courses split out equally over 18 months and I am clear on when each of my portfolio projects need to be submitted. The structure has helped me to stay organised and on track with my progress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been very supportive with regards to allowing me enough time to complete my studies but also with the technical side and helping me to understand concepts that are unfamiliar. I have found this has helped me with productivity and progress with pieces of work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My Firebrand mentor has regular meetings with myself and my line manager to discuss my progress and answer any questions I have. I find this really useful as it gives me an opportunity to get clarity on what I can do better on and what is going well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I find it very effective that I can put into practice what I learn on my programme. I'm a practical learner so understanding the theory is the first step but being able to implement what I learn is where I feel I make lots of progress,
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am involved in various opportunities outside of my role such as being an Apprentice Ambassador, a Wellness Advocate, helping to organise the team's social activities and there are also run clubs that I am keen to get involved in.

The culture is great and there are so many opportunities inside your role and outside too. There are so many areas of the bank that we can explore and develop in.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
Be yourself in your application and don't overthink it. It's not a corporate environment as most people might think - it's a welcoming, exciting, fast-paced place to be and you should reflect this in your application.
