My role involves manipulating the electrical network and making it safe to work on, then taking apart mechanical switchgear to then repair or maintain the electrical equipment ensuring people maintain a consistent power supply

Lots of electrical understanding as well as the hand skills required in this job role as well as other skills involved in maiing the network safe to work on such as High Voltage Switching and Issuing safety Documents

There are areas that could do with improvements and the submission of written work could be altered to help those with issues with writing etc for better forms of evidence submission such as videos or audio logs in interview formats.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The team I directly work with have been great, the management can be really helpful, there could be more clarity from the assessment side of things.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

It is mainly support from my NLTM or the team I directly work with not the assessor
