Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am on an apprenticeship for a BEMS Engineer, this is working with software and control panels to try and de-carbonise buildings, help customers save energy and become smart buildings, which is being more energy efficient, this is with predominantly, heating and ventilation equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I am 50/50 about my enjoyment, I enjoy my job and what I do however I do not enjoy the person I am being put to work with, I have told managers this plenty of times and nothing has been done to resolve, it makes days feel very long.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, i have learnt lots, a lot of skills around software which I was new to, developed my skills of how systems worked and learnt a variety of skills around electrics.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
A lot of people dont know what I am meant to be or doing within my programme, all the learning is online which I have complained about time and time again for 18+ months, and still nothing has been done. Poorly organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Support is there when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Not a great deal, support is there when needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
I feel like you learn very little through the training provider, once again due to the online courses. We are in a practical job and doing online learning which is the opposite of practical. I have learnt 95% of things not through my provider.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
No
