Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

i am a mechanical designer however will be SQEP as engineer soon as the past 9 months i have been performing the roll of and engineer. writing technical reports and managing engineering activities
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

programme is tough however getting better. initially there were issues, we raised these and the college have begun to implement changes which is making a noticeable difference.

report writing, stakeholder management, time management, overall engineering knowledge. specific knowledge regarding project specifics

How well organised/structured is your programme?

programme from a cavendish perspective is great. i think there have been difficulties with the training provider however as i have said we raised these and the training provider has made changes which is improving the programme
How much support do you receive from your employer?

support from my employer such as my line manager, colleagues and the early careers team, notably anna stoke is exceptional.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

the training provider also offers a broad range of support and i feel comfortable going to my tutors if i require anything futher
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

whilst not all learning is relevant right not i believe it is essential to my career development. understanding how things work regardless as to wether or not an individual will perform those task is still valuable, expecially if the goal is to manage those individuals. an appreciate of all areas is a bonus

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cavendish Nuclear?
take advantage of our work experience programmes, get that food in the door early on. otherwise focus on how you come across, be true and be yourself. CNL is a people orientated business and showing you work well with people and demonstrate our principles will put you in a good light
