Working closely with team members daily in order to achieve a smooth running audit process.
Often consisting of regular meetings with team members to resolve queries and check current status/progress.
Involves communicating and often sitting with a client in order to provide additional information to help enable them to provide required documents.
Then performing testing of these documents in order to ensure no fraudulent misstatements

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Definitely a hard but rewarding course, however it at times often feels hard to balance regular day-to-day activities outside of studies and work placement.
However, the opportunities offered upon completion is significantly worth the many hours spent working towards it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, As my first placement did not offer me much experience due to poor resourcing. However, this year I always had something to work on which allowed me to learn quickly and learning many new things which I will carry forward into my final placement and into the workforce upon graduation

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Cannot think of any other ways to improve organisation/structure as outline of course modules is provided and on placement, teams are often organised through the use of trackers for the whole team and regular catch ups ensure to allow organisation to be a top priority
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Certain people in engagement teams will provide a lot more support than some others, however it often requires a proactive behaviour from us in order to receive coaching
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Support is typically only given when on placement. This will include a period of pre-placement training and providing us with Practical Work experience, however this does not help with regards to academic modules in university
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

We cover lots of varied modules through this qualification providing us with a wider knowledge of accounting and financial practices as opposed to just obtaining experience in the field in which out placement takes place

Why?
PwC and the people provide a supportive atmosphere in the office, with everyone working towards the qualifications or having previously completed the same qualifications so there is lots of support and opportunities available in order to further personal development and learn new important skills for the future
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
This job/degree will require hard work throughout the whole year but is worth it for the desired end result.
Make sure to avail of the people around you and never be afraid to enquire for any assistance or help when it is required
