Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My role involves designing, implementing and testing software. I work on 2-3 projects at a time and am responsible for balancing my time between them based on the priority of the task. Most of my communication is with other team members to ask for assistance or update them on progress
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I find both the work and university aspects of the programme enjoyable but together they do take up a lot of time leaving you with very little time to relax or engage in hobbies.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've developed a lot of programming related skills in various programming languages I'd never tried before. I've also managed to develop my understanding of the many approaches to programming and the various tools and techniques available when deciding on how to implement a solution.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The work aspect of the progamme is well structured and organised but the university aspect is significantly less so...
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
When required, BAE is willing to give time for university or provide other support needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
BAE are willing to assist with issues relating to university but the university isn't always the most cooperative until work chips in to give them a push
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel like a lot of the material we cover at university, we also cover at work which means both help with the other.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I engage in a weekly lunchtime club relating to investigating hardware vulnerabilities in things such as car radios and internet routers
