Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
3 days a week I am on-site working in different placements where I get real life experience and projects all to do with engineering. 1 day a week I am at University completing my theory and 1 day a week at home studying.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love the program and I am excited everyday I come in as I get to work on something new all the time and I am always switching departments to get a better understanding of the business. I also get to work with really nice people who are keen to teach.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt new skills about managing business led projects, company and office etiquette. I have further developed my skills in engineering and processes

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The work side is extremely well planned as I have my plans, reviews and rotations planned for the entire apprenticeship. The university side isn't the best but still works fairly well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We have a mentor and a supervisor to contact if we need anything and they are always extremely quick to respond and help when needed
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Moderate, they take a while to respond sometimes and occasionally there is mixed communication but on a general basis they are pretty good
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I found that the topics I am completing at university align with the work I am completing on the job and I can put theoretical knowledge into practical applications
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, we complete events as part of our community hours (EEEC) where we are allowed to go and represent Cummins and the apprenticeship and market it others
