Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day we had a morning briefing about a different area of practice and set a (hypothetical) task to complete. We then would receive a debriefing about how you should go about future tasks. We also had talks from commercial growth, wellbeing and EDI to help us gain further insight into the firm's culture.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really exciting to learn about all of the different roles! As well as solicitors, we also came into contact with a variety of different people who enrich the firm.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I was able to use my legal knowledge and learn how to apply it in a real life context. Even though the tasks were based on hypothetical scenarios, it was really valuable to learn how our law degrees will be used in practice.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The most striking thing about Irwin Mitchell is just how nice everybody is! Everybody would go the extra mile to help you out and make sure that you were enjoying your experience.
