Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am the Education Development Facilitator, I support the provision of Ambulance placements in partnership with multiple HEI’s as well as the resourcing and co-ordination of education/delivery. I have direct management responsibility of the training coordination team as well as supporting the general management and maintenance of the education delivery team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
While I found certain modules more enjoyable than others, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I appreciated the programme as a whole. Its engaging and relevant content greatly contributed to my overall experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Pursuing the Chartered Management Apprenticeship has enabled me to enhance my existing skills while also acquiring a diverse range of new competencies that I can effectively apply to my current role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Overall, while the programme was valuable, its structure was sometimes frustrating due to less-than-ideal planning. Skills sessions for each module were often scheduled after the module had already been completed, which affected the learning process. Additionally, the university's delayed start date resulted in deadlines coinciding with school holidays, posing challenges for many of us with families.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive exceptional support from my employer in all aspects of my role, from general welfare to daily responsibilities and professional development. They prioritise my well-being, provide guidance in my day-to-day work, and actively support my growth, ensuring I have the resources and encouragement needed to succeed and progress.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I am incredibly grateful to my employer for their support in helping me complete the degree, especially given the off-the-job requirements. I was consistently given the time I needed each week to fully commit to the programme. Additionally, the continuous support from my mentor and wider team, particularly with assignments and idea development, was invaluable to my success.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) has been instrumental in enhancing my performance in my role. It has allowed me to build upon my existing knowledge of leadership and other key aspects, fostering significant growth in my confidence and effectiveness as a leader.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes there are multiple staff networks that have many events
