On a day to day basis, I am responsible for an extensive amount of communication with external and internal stakeholders and am working toward setting up new communication systems by developing existing software use.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Apprentices have received some issues with their placements, having managers that are too busy to provide appropriate training.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a significant amount of support having 1:1 sessions with my manager and receiving learning reviews every three months to ensure i am comfortable in my placement as progressing in my abilities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Not a large extent of support in the transition between learning how to perform in a college environment into a university environment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It significantly helps me understand the concepts that I am confronted with on a daily basis, and am able to use more profound and academic language as a result.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I get involved in a series of stretch project that involve presenting and travel so I can develop my capacity of leadership. While there is not a large number of social activities, there are many development opportunities.

You recieve a great deal from this apprentiship, with it being a great alternative to university, gaining both professional and academic skills at once, learning a significant amount in a short space of time, making this an amazing opportunity.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Ensure to be yourself and enjoy the process. Don't attempt to use language that you think the individuals interviewing you might want. They want to gain an understanding of who you are as a person.
