Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
The work can vary greatly depending on the placement (of which there are usually lots of options). For me, this has ranged from change management, trade union governance and work surrounding pay and benefits.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I couldn’t ask for a better experience as an apprentice at TfL, however the education provider is fairly underwhelming.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Constant opportunities to develop new skills and safely try new things. Definitely have improved my excel, presentation, stakeholder management and organisational skills while on this scheme.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There’s a clear structure to the programme, 3 months in high volume HR Services, 3 specialist placements and 2 Business Partnering placements
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Consistently received high quality support throughout the scheme in the form of my sponsor, placement managers and other colleagues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Support has varied and depended on the tutor.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Lots of the resources from my qualification are useful and can definitely be utilised in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Plenty of activities, lots of sports groups, colleague network groups (LGBT+, Women, Race, Religious). No shortage of professional networking events either (monthly speed mentoring, events, mentorship scheme).
