Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I create and edit technical drawings and Bill of Materials for various products.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy going to work, I find it quite interesting but going to College can be quite stressful as the organization of the course is not very good

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to use CAD software, as well as various other programs.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Work is very well structured and organized. The training provider (college) is very unorganized. There are frequent teacher absences which has led to many lessons being cancelled and the content is not taught at a consistent or high standard. Work has been very supportive with trying to get the training provider to be better.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have received a lot of support from my employer both with my work tasks and with course content which was not taught sufficiently by the training provider. My employer is always looking for new opportunities for me to learn.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
I receive very little support from my training provider. Lessons are often cancelled and resources are not provided with us on time. Entire modules have been left untaught despite having allocated lesson time and being necessary to complete the coursework. Teachers have offered to give feedback on work but when taken up on this offer, they have provided no useful insight on the work - they just summarised everything I had written
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Some of the course has been relevant to my role - ie learning CAD. Some of the content, however is not relevant to me but is still interesting and may be useful in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I frequently take part in STEM events and out of work social activities.
