At the start of my apprenticeship, I worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, handling application screening, talent sourcing, assessment campaigns, and full-cycle recruitment while building strong stakeholder relationships. During my apprenticeship, I was promoted to a supervisory role with increased responsibilities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was well structured and I had fantastic support from both the provider and my employer. Given this support I had, this allowed me to enjoy the course as I wasn't overwhelmed at any point.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my Level 5 HR apprenticeship, I developed key skills in employee relations, recruitment, HR policies, and compliance. I gained experience in performance management, learning & development, workforce planning, and compensation & benefits. Additionally, I honed my abilities in HR systems, change management, and stakeholder engagement to support organisational success.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The enrolment process was seamless, and despite COVID challenges, classes proceeded as scheduled, either in person or via video call. The well-structured modules allowed ample time to complete assignments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I had regular catch-ups with my line manager, who provided ongoing feedback and support, including cross-checking my work when needed. Managers across the business were also supportive, especially when case studies required input from other departments.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I had regular catch up with a Trainer, we would discuss progress and any areas for improvement on a regular basis. This helped keep me on track throughout the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

During my Apprenticeship, I was promoted into a supervisory level role and since finishing have been promoted again. The increased knowledge gained from my course, alongside the enhanced skills, really helped me push on in my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I attended several professional networking events during my employment. While travel limits my participation in social activities, our industry is highly sociable with ongoing events.

It is fast-paced within the automotive industry so you have to have a strong work ethic. If you do, you could have an incredibly rewarding career here.
