As a laboratory technician at Schneider Electric, I test products to various standards daily. My role includes conducting diverse tests, recording data meticulously, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with engineers to ensure compliance and quality
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship program. It offers a perfect blend of practical experience and theoretical learning. Im excited to continue developing my skills and knowledge as I progress through the program

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned many new engineering skills through college and gained extensive knowledge about Schneider Electric and our products. As I am only halfway through my apprenticeship, I look forward to learning and developing even more skills

The structure of my apprenticeship program is very well-organized. It provides a clear roadmap for skill development, combining both theoretical and practical learning. Regular assessments and feedback sessions with the college, and my employer ensure that I stay on track and continuously improve.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive substantial support from my employer. Schneider Electric provides and allows me to complete comprehensive training, and I also attend regular feedback sessions, which help me in developing new skills. The collaborative environment and resources available ensure that I can effectively develop my skills and succeed in my apprenticeship
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive great support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. They offer me resources, regular check-ins and reviews, and personalized guidance to ensure I understand the material and can apply it effectively in my role.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification through my training provider enhances my performance in certain areas. The theoretical knowledge and practical skills I acquire sometimes apply to my daily tasks, although much of what I learn at college does not directly relate to my job role. However, this structured learning approach ensures I am well-prepared to meet the standards required by Schneider Electric.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have participated in networking events and social activities with other apprentices. Additionally, I am working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award within Schneider Electric, which provides valuable experiences and skills outside of my regular work tasks. These activities help foster a sense of community and enhance my overall apprenticeship experience.
