Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
i have a lot of roles as an apprentice such as teaching lessons, supporting lessons, running lunchtime clubs and after school clubs, going to sports events with children. i interact with all of the children across the school all the way from reception to year 6. this will include me teaching from year 1 to year 6 and supporting all year groups within pe. i also have to do things like collect borrowed kits from the children and speak to children about events. sometimes i will have external interactions such as with event staff and even speaking to parents. being an apprentice means that i have to do coursework and training along the side. this is things like learning about child development, pastoral development and so on. i have to complete a lot of projects such as power points and posters and presentations for my training provider to assess.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
it is almost like my wishes had been answered because i gave up one apprentechsip because it didn't work out and i hadn't even started yet. however i am now doing my current apprenteceship and i absolutely love it. it is the perfect job for me and i have confidence that i am going to succeed

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
being in this apprentechsip has made me not only develop skills for the use of work but personal skills. this is things such as having more interactions with the public and parents. what has also been helpful is that i am in a full time workplace which means i am interacting with different people all of the time. i feel like i have developed my leadership skills whilst being in this apprentecship, this is done whilst i'm teaching or running a club etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
the programme is organised very efficiently with the jobs/tasks that i have but also the training provider that we use. ignite training is so helpful when it comes to meetings or coursework or even if a discussion is needed. the trust that i work for is organised when it comes to things such as events or training meetings etc
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
i receive a lot of support from my employer whether that be my line manager or my mentor but i get a lot of support. this may be something to do with my coursework or something to do with teaching a class etc. if i was to have any other issues such as medical or physical then i know for sure that i would get the support i needed
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
with my training provider i receive tons of support from my tutor. this can be with coursework or even if im struggling with something he will still help me. if i ever had any issues then there is no doubt that my tutor would help me out at any point and i am forever grateful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
when working towards my qualification i have learnt a lot about child development and different needs of children. when completing coursework on specific subjects i am able to use the information that i have gained to use when teaching. i feel that the work towards my qualification is really beneficial for me
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
being part of the sports team we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children and these are before school, lunchtime and after school. there are loads of different sports that we offer that help gain that extra bit of confidence for the children. there are many more after school clubs that are offered such as board games clubs, choir clubs, construction clubs and book clubs etc.
