Varies from placement to placement but currently i have coordinating with supply chain to procure materials aswell as working with planners and the project management office for project reporting
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoy the scheme and feel really valued and supported and encouraged to better myself and thoroughly enjoyed the week long team building trip to the lake district.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes i have learned : project planning , governance , stakeholder management , procurement & resource management. I have also further developed leadership and team work & collaboration skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The support is great but as my scheme is fairly new the EC team has been constantly updating and changing the ways to support my scheme which has lead to quite a bit of confusion but its only because my scheme is new
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Alot , the 12 week reviews are great and thorough and ways to better myself are identified, plenty of courses and training available and feedback and catch up sessions are also availble which is also good
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Although the support has been great not enough preparation was given for our APM PMQ exam as learning of the modules was quite rushed as we dont attend university and dont have foundational knowledge of the exam modules
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of social activities but due to the location getting to them can be difficult unless you drive

Really great development and training , incredible opportunities to work on some incredible pieces of equipment and overall a great place to work and i feel valued and supported
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Really demonstrate you interest in aerospace and also showcase that you are a team player and can apart well as part of a team and willingness to learn and grow and develop as professionally and personally
