I commercially support contracts, maintain stakeholder relationships and manage recourses contributing towards the defence sector.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, from the learning to the day to day tasks and opportunities available as part of the apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I entered the apprenticeship with little to no commercial knowledge and have since learnt countless new skills, processes and built a wide range of knowledge on the industry. Additionally I have built on my STEM skills as well as communication skills, confidence and ability.

Very well organised, the programme is well structured, well informed and constructive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer and my line managers have been nothing but supportive in every way since I began.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

CMI have also been very supportive and helpful in the time I have been studying.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It definitely is relatable to my work and I am able to implement things I learn into my commercial knowledge, although I find some topics are less relatable but still implemented in some aspects.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I do and will get involved in STEM outreach to schools, Work experience weeks and mentoring.

Why?
Babcock are a great employer, In my experience, they have been nothing but supportive and I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship. There are also many open and upcoming opportunities to get involved in and a great drive to achieve, in line with their principles. I also enjoy the type of work we do and am proud to be a part of the defence industry.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock International Group?
Research the company, and the job role and apply information within your interview that is relatable to the role and industry. Also ask questions and go the extra mile to show yourself off.
