Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

currently it involves going to the workshop marking out the metal using a torch to cut the metal and using a grinder to tide up the metal and to keep it square.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

currently its on and off on me enjoying the work i believe its part due to my feet hurting often from the boots but they have tried their hardest to solve this problem. i also do not really enjoy grinding too much.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

yes i have, i have learnt how to use a grinder properly and use multiple new machines.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it is quite well organised and structured. although the extraction has been faulty recently but is trying to be sorted.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i have been given support in providing me new work shoes to try and solve the problem i have with my boots being too small and my feet being an awkward size.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

we have been provided a decent amount of support. although when we go to barrow college some of our tutors are not helpful in regards to our training we also didn't have a tutor for the first few weeks of our time at college.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i feel it does help improve my skills since i am improving the skills i am actually doing in the workshop.
