To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed it to an extent i think its a good opportunity to change careers but i dont think apprentices are as valued as say graduates like when you graduate an apprenticeship theres no guarenteed path like there is for graduates

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes many - learnt terminology about the IT world, ways of working, software developing, taking solutions end to end, supporting other hubs and developers, better communication skills with stakeholders
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was organised, it was quite hard to balance the reality of the firebrand training with practical work. Luckily i liked the role i was put into but i did have to seperate them to do well
How much support do you receive from your employer?

After the apprenticeship was done i did feel slightly neglected, there is no guarentee path for promotion and it just kind of feels anti climatic, for example when you graduate your apprenticeship youre technically a graduate but not treated like one.. also its quite hard to break out of the idea of being an apprentice and the connotations that come with that even when finished, i think when an apprentice finishes their programme they should become a graduate and be paid the same
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Good support - trainers are really focused and on it and want you to succeed - i do wish i got a distinction but i am happy with a merit
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I dont know if it does automatically to be honest, i think i was a good introduction to the basics of software engineering but to thrive in the role you need to choose to adapt to the role, luckily i like my role so i really made the effort to learn and adapt with in the two years of the apprenticeship
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are some at work but nothing really seemed appatising - im an adult learner so again nothing really for me

Why?
I am proud to work for LBG, its a integral part of Britians financial industry. The apprentice scheme gave me the opportunity for a fresh career path and i was lucky in landing in a role that i enjoy so i do appreciate that. I just wish there were more options for better pay when finishing an apprenticeship.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
Go for it. It can teach you alot, you work with lots of different people and develop lots of skills year by year
