Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing suppliers to BAE Systems by organising delivery of material to our sites allowing ship build process to progress. Visiting supplier sites to strengthen relationships and encourage positive effects on the suppliers performance. Regular supplier calls to keep up to date with supplier issues and schedules. Liaising between other functions within BAE such as Engineering and Operations and our suppliers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I somewhat enjoy my programme, while i develop many skills and behaviours through my programme there are certainly things that could improve and provide more support to my development and experience.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Coming straight from secondary school, my social and communicative skills have shown extensive growth. My adaptability and concentration have also benefited as i have moved around placements and been forced to learn new skills through new and differing contractual scenarios.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

the programme is well structured in the sense that we move around placements at consistent intervals with scheduled contracts we will work with. However, the workload we are provided in different teams is very differed across placements meaning some teams arent as structured as others.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i receive adequate support from my employer. any concerns or issues i have are heard and actioned to a resonable capacity. while some teams can have a milder workload or be a bit hectic, support is always shown if asked/required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i have received reasonable support from my training provider throughout working towards any qualifications. they regularly check in and assist when asked.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the qualifications i have worked toward/achieved through my training provider have helped me to develop a wider and more full understanding of the expectations of someone in my role and any future opportunities that could potentially arise for me

there are semi-regularly social outings with many team members to keep a tight-knit team within our office that anyone is welcome to attend.

Communication and confidence are huge factors within our workplace, due to lots of cross-functional meetings and projects you have to be willing to speak up and represent your function.
