The extra curricular activities are vast and actively encouraged, especially for apprentices. For example there are very frequent STEM Ambassador events set up in collaboration with the company that are available to do.

Why?
It is a very positive place to work, the environment is very friendly and no one is shy to answer your questions. It feels like a large scale friendly team effort to work there.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Be proactive and ask tons of questions, no one faults you for not knowing something and it is much better to ask about a subject then to just go along with it.
