Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is to learn about Babcock and its Supply Chain practices, ranging from warehousing and logistics to procurement, as well as helping the teams within Babcock's supply chain process complete regular tasks and create an understanding of them for myself. I am also responsible for gaining the necessary experience I need to pass my apprenticeship.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy my programme, it provides me with a valuable insight into a successful company and Babcock operates in a friendly and helpful environment.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt plenty of new skills, ranging from technical abilities within my role, to social and wellbeing skills that have furthered my work performance and have taught me a lot.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
This is a more mixed reaction from myself. The college sessions are too long and drawn out and I had exams cancelled because I was placed in a placement that was not relevant to my exams. Sometimes your day to day tasks and responsibilities are slightly ambiguous, especially in the first couple of weeks in a placement, and your needs as an apprentice can also be slightly ambiguous. The people I have worked with have been extremely helpful though.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive pretty much any support I need
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I'd say fairly well, the subject knowledge aspect is positive.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
