To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as the work-load is very well balanced between work and uni. The work during my placement is also very enjoyable and manageable. I would like to do more hands-on activities but due to the nature of my course, it isnt needed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've developed my soft skills, such as sending appropriate emails and how to speak within a team. I have also developed my engineering knowledge from reading documents, and being taken round site to be shown different areas.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Quite well structured, we're given our placement rotation for the duration of our role One thing that could be structured better is the exam week at college, as we aren't given a day of when the exam is until a few weeks before. This makes it hard to book things.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Quite a bit of support. They are happy to help with any issues you're having, holiday requests, working from home.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

somewhat support. tutors could be more involved and enthusiastic in what they are delivering as sometimes it can become quite mundane and boring if they dont seem like they enjoyr what theyre saying

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my qualification will give me more insight into the maths of my job role, history of my role, and applications and how certain things work.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes, sometimes work plan nights-out events such as social nights, quizzes and darts nights. i also take part in STEM ambassadors, and leave work to complete otj hours by teaching school kids about stem.
