Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Aerospace Engineering Apprenticeship - 4 days placement, 1 day per week at University, studying a BEng in Aerospace engineering. Daily tasks vary depending on the placement, but in general i am gaining experience across different placements and seeing different parts of the business, in order to develop me into a well rounded competent engineer.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy this programme a lot, i think it is very engaging and very well structured.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, gained many transferrable employability skills, as well as developed technical skills during placements.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well structured, and is designed with the apprentice's learning and development in mind.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support is available to whoever needs it, however often they need it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I would say support from the college is pretty good, they help out and ensure that you are well supported and on track to achieve your goals
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think my qualification helps me in my role, as I am always ensuring that I am meeting deadlines and being responsible. Subject specific knowledge is also needed for some placements.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There must be a lot of events, however I do not know much about this side of things, as I am not as interested, however for those who are, there are socials which are organised between apprentices, but also by teams on placements who sort their own activities and networking events.
