I really enjoy my apprenticeship and the variety of activities and tasks I get to be involved in.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. I have learned how the project team works together, the individual roles and their importance, how to use software and had the opportunity to go on multiple recognised external training courses.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured. I get the opportunity to move around different placements every 6 - 12 months allowing me to work on new projects and even in different business areas.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Babcock are very supportive and regularly check in on how my placements and university studies are going and offer support if required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots of resources are made available and lecturers schedule time for 1 to 1 sessions to discuss any queries we have about our assignments. They are also available to contact for support whenever we require.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I get the chance to apply the knowledge in my day to day work which helps me gain a better and in depth understanding of the topics.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we get the opportunity to attend STEM events, volunteering days and have apprentice / grad evenings which are arranged on a regular basis.
