Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am on 6 month placements and I take on any tasks the manager sees fit. It consists of a lot of Excel work, emails and meetings. My placement is different to most as I work for a senior manager and I don't have a team to work for like most people.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The general organisation is poor but the experience is good. The placements are not carefully picked and not a great fit for the apprenticeship but still provide good insight to the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Professional social skills, workplace etiquette, timekeeping, skills on MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
As mentioned above, the organisation is poor. No due diligence with placement selection to ensure they are a good fit for the programme. The training at the start felt rushed and unorganised too, they are changing the structure and we have been the guinea pigs for it.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Good support system. If I have an issue, my skills coach will help and my line manager is good with keeping in contact for any escalations.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Some support, the college is understaffed and disorganised but they help where they can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I haven't experienced enough of the role to comment on this, I have only completed 2 modules and spent 3 months on placement. Not much overlap as of yet but I am sure that will change over time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not that I am aware of but I have not been seeking any extra-curricular activities so I would not know.
