My apprenticeship consists of 4, 6 month placement within the procurement function allowing me to experience numerous areas of the business. The roles can be varied, including purchasing roles, data analytical roles, etc...
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very well organised - as an apprentice, you always know the role you have and the people to contact about all aspects of your job / life.

A lot of support is given to you and you are always reminded of where to go encase you need any.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We are given the specification and criteria from the training provider to ensure we pass the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I dont feel the qualification links directly into my role all of the time, however, there are some aspects which can be used by implementing these myself in my role to work more efficiently, such as; Gantt charts.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are always networking events in and outside of work to get involved with.

Why?
Even though you are an apprentice, you are treated the same as everyone else. Everyone is open and intrigued to hear your feedback and you are made to feel a valued member of each team you go into.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and network with colleagues from around the business.
