Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Daily tasks include supplier management, liaising with external stakeholders to ensure purchase orders are delivered on time. Raising purchase orders on behalf of the customer. Ensuring documents are uploaded correctly and adhering to data protection and other regulations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The placement provides valuable opportunities to apply the new knowledge we learn in our delivery sessions. The balance between the apprenticeship work and placement work is great, and it has been a positive experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn new skills in procurement, supplier management, leading meetings and presenting. I have developed my existing skills of communication, confidence, adaptability and collaboration.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the programme is well structured, there is sufficient time to complete assignments and tasks that are provided whilst also completing our placement work. The delivery days are organised and planned well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is always someone available to either guide or answer any queries when needed. There is support available for any work or personal issues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots of support in relation to providing new learning and also having refresher sessions to further solidify what we have been taught. The skills coaches are extremely helpful and are very supportive with regards to assignments etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I haven't had previous experience in the industry so the training on the job combined with new learning in the delivery sessions has really helped solidify my understanding for the role and has helped me to work to high standards.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many professional networking events organised throughout the year. There are also many employee resource groups that provide opportunity to network with and support other colleagues

The work life balance is fantastic, there is so much support available and the colleagues are always happy to help and offer guidance when necessary. There are many opportunities for development, both professionally and personally.
