Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It involves a lot of classroom working and writing assessments. However Furness college are under staffed and we end up with no tutor for a lot of lessons. (We don’t get a supply tutor either.) So we do a lot of independent learning.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it a little bit at the moment however I feel as though when I go to the training school and on placement I will enjoy it a lot more.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt some new things in practical like some simple wiring circuits and basic tool handling skills. I have learnt about health and safety and learnt a lot in maths.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

BAE is reasonably organised but Furness college is definitely not.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We get engagement sessions which are people from HR e.c.t to talk with us. I would say we do get good support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yes outward bound which was very good and challenging.

Because it is exiting to be apart of building a submarine for our country and BAE looks after after their employees
