Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am currently learning CAD and the skills that come with it, this is due to being set modules of different skills needed within the business. I have currently completed 3 modules electronics, BIT and aircraft jacking.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program, I feel there is consistent support when struggling with a skill.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting here I have learnt both new skills and developed skills I already had, this has expanded my knowledge not just on the specific modules but also aerospace in general, I feel each day I learn new and vital information that can help me progress through my career. As an example within the electronics term I learnt how to solder components to a circuit board creating a working circuit, I have also the last few weeks been learning how to navigate inventor which I had never been on previously.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is organised well as there are set times given throughout the day to not only benefit classroom skills but also to self study and develop my knowledge of sections that I may be struggling with.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel my employer gives me alot of support both in the classroom an out, leaving no gaps in my knowledge.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I feel recently the support has picked up within the FE days and on regular working days the support has been outstanding from the second I started

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualifications we get through the training provider is a good foundation to show all future employers I have the basic knowledge required to confidently carry out tasks within the business.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I feel there are numerous extra curricular activities allowing a wide variety of people to get involved.

I have enjoyed my time here and the atmosphere along with the people makes the entire time enjoyable due to everyone having motivation to excel in their careers.
