Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Once I completed basic training, I then went onto placements throughout the business doing different specialisations. All the teams are very accommodating and helpful. I work in the business Mon - Wed and Friday, Thrusdays are my university day where i am on day release to learn and development my Degree work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy this apprenticeship, to the point where I look forward to going into work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed some existing skills I had, as I was working in engineering for around 5 years prior to joining this apprenticeship. I have definitely learnt a lot of new skills over the past couple of years. I will learn a lot more during my time here too, about both specific technical areas, as well as how big companies work and function.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship I am enrolled on is very good. I really like how the everything flows. I would like it to be a little bit more efficient, but due to security, this is not usually possible.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive a good amount of support, but this could be slightly improved if you struggle with a specific academic area (e.g. Maths)
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We receive a lot of support from the employer when it comes to the different diploma work and degree work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I think it does have some alignment, but the qualification currently exceeds the technicality of the placements I have.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are a lot of different activities to get involved in, anything you can think of.
