Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
The advanced engineering technician apprenticeship is a four year scheme. The first year is based in the Academy of Skills and Knowledge facility where apprentices gain their foundational knowledge in the relevant areas in preparation for their placements commencing second year. During post first year, apprentices are given six four month placements which will be spread across different sectors of the business. This enables apprentices to gain a broad range of skills ready for full time employment. At the end of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have to complete an end of point assessment. This is used to verify that the worker is competent in their area of work.
