Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Working with a team on 4 month placements, learning what the job role entails and getting tasks within the team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I would say it is a good programme but some placements can be slow and lacklustre whereas others can be amazing and really get you involved with the work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
learnt many new skills such as CAD and Planning for engineering. Developed skills such as communication and presenting.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I would say the programme has a very clear and well outlined structure.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We receive lots of support if needed from our skills coaches who ensure that we are on trck with our apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
we received adequate support for our hnc and good support for our NVQ.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I wouldn't say much that i used in my HNC is necessary to the role i do, but i understand why it is important to have the fundamental knowledge. I would say that the level 2 NVQ we did in the training school was very helpful because it gave us an understanding of fundamental skills such as fitting and machining amongst others.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Yes, but i haven't been offered to join any personally or taken part in any, and i don't know anyone who has.
