my role is an electrical apprentice and i do full time at college where i do practise assessments for different circuits and learn in detail about everything that is needed for the apprenticeship.

i really enjoy this apprenticeship because it has a lot to offer

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

during the behaviours sessions i have learned about what each one is and how to show it and outward bound allowed me to develop most of these skills

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it is mostly organised however furness college is low on staff therefore sometimes we don’t have tutors for specific units or lessons

a lot of support is received
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

lots of support even though sometimes we don’t have a tutor, we get a lot of help and support from the ones we do have to work towards our exams
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it helps us understand how to be more safe throughout the training that we do such as working at heights so throughout the apprenticeship we are less likely to be injured
