Day-to-day I work on and manage client facing work, this can include liaising with legal & client teams on complex and sometimes international projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the overall experience and felt I have gained great opportunities and support from the DLA Piper team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my professional skills including communication, collaboration, problem solving, and professional networking.
I have learnt several technical skills including legal drafting, document management, financial management, creating bespoke project plans and tools, and data analysis.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The Programme is structured into yearly rotations with a chance to review progress every 6 months. This has allowed me to gain a wealth of experience from across different areas of the firm and enhance my overall project management skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I partake in regular meetings with my direct line manager, the early careers team and other members of my team. With everyone willing to answer any questions I may have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have a meeting with my skills coach every 8 weeks to discuss overall progress. My skills coach also is very responsive via email should any other queries arise.
The training provider also holds weekly office hour sessions which run in a Q&A format and holds advice sessions following a draft submission
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have gained theoretical knowledge on project management practices which has allowed me to use them in my day-to-day work. The theory also gives a base understanding of the next steps in a project.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have been involved with several charity events, raising money for our office charity. I have also been involved in several social events within the team
