My role at the moment is in Furness college doing a machinist course doing theory work and machining work.

I enjoy my program a lot

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my lathe and hand fitting work, I have also learnt how to interpret engineering drawings and draw them. I have been learning how to draw using CAD.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Our program isn’t organized to the fullest as we receive knowledge late and just before it’s going to happen or after the exercise has been done like receiving write up work months after doing the practical side.
