Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Within my job I undertake a variety of roles as well as shadowing a variety of roles being done which is all key information and experience for my learning and when writing my assignments. I have different job roles which are also being added to as time goes on and my learning expands. Some of my current main roles at the moment include pre pitch and post pitch reports, downloading title documents. Also receiving incoming calls and attending to the enquiry whether that be booking in a viewing or market appraisal as well as dealing with other situations. Vendor google checks and planning portal checks prior to a property being launched is also a role which I often do. The Instagram submissions is also something which I do on a weekly basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I’m really enjoying my apprenticeship program, especially the balance of office work and hands-on experience. It allows me to see the day-to-day roles of the sales team while also taking on new responsibilities myself. I also enjoy the training days in London, which give me the chance to connect with other residential sales apprentices.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt lots of new skills since starting my role and my knowledge of the industry had greatly expanded. I've learned to navigate various systems used within the business, as well as different sales techniques, and deepened my product knowledge, including legal and regulatory awareness. Additionally, I've further developed many existing skills. For example, my call handling skills have greatly improved since I first picked up the phone to speak with a client, and my confidence in this area has grown as well. I've also learned the key information to gather during phone conversations and how to handle a variety of situations effectively.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My apprenticeship program is well-organized, with scheduled catch-ups with my trainer and the apprenticeship organizer. We have access to various webinars and in-person training sessions, all planned in advance with reminder emails. My apprenticeship program is well set out with structured monthly meetings and assignments, which help me work toward the end-point assessment and keep the course on track and sets out a structure for myself.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is always very supportive, and I know that if I email with any query, I’ll receive a quick response with assistance. I also have a catch-up every three months to ensure everything is going well and to discuss any additional support I may need or concerns I might have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training provider provides valuable information to help us understand the next module and complete the required work. We attend monthly learning sessions, which are very helpful for going through the material in person before starting a new topic. If I have any questions or need extra support while completing assignments, our training provider is always available to assist via phone or email.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification through the training provider has had a significant positive impact on my role, as it gives me a deeper understanding of various areas, such as the details of legislation and regulations. While also giving you confidence that you have covered most of the knowledge which you need to know.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are different sports teams which you can get involved with however, these are more accessible to attend if you’re working in a London office. There are also the apprenticeship awards which a great opportunity to meet and get to know some of the other apprentice better.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Everyone at Savills is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The company is well-organized and offers a variety of events, such as conferences and training sessions, which provide great opportunities to continue learning and expand our knowledge. These events also allow us to meet others within the business and are truly motivating.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
I would recommend being confident and networking with as many people as possible during the assessment days. It is also important to come prepared and do your research. Having some work experience gives you a solid understanding of daily operations, which will help you answer questions and engage with others in the industry for example, when going interviews and assessment days.
