Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme a massive amount. With BAE systems there are opportunities everywhere for learning, travelling etc.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Everything I do has been something new and exciting and has taught me a lot of skills while also pulling on existing skills. One of my first placements has had me pull some knowledge from my physics A-Levels.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very organised. We go through different placements each year to get a good spread of skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We get a load of support from them. Every 12 weeks we have reviews to see how we have been doing. There are support options everywhere.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
As part of the apprenticeship we go on a trip called Outward Bound to Scotland where we do team building exercises etc. We also have lots of clubs within the office.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
BAE Systems has been amazing so far and they are extremely supportive. I was really lucky to get a degree apprenticeship with them and I think they are very accommodating. I'd want the best for my friends so I would recommend the best.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
As long as you have the grades (or close enough) to the grades to apply, just getting out how interested you are in the area you are applying to puts you in a really good position.
