Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
In Furness college we learn about basic fabrication skills. Both in the workshop and out learning how to use tools and make things I would have thought I previously couldn’t have. We learn these skills to transfer over into the business where we develop these professionally.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy it most of the time bae is good it’s the college that struggles and hold us back.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Patience and integrity as lots of the time we don’t have tutors and have to self study and this takes self commitment. When we do have tutors I’ve learnt a good ammount of new skills for both inside and outside the workplace I can use in my day to day life

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Well, bae systems is great as a company and what they provide us with. It’s the college that lacks structure as for months we had no tutor and were left outside the classroom all day.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
a lot of support is available if needed we get offered it a lot but as I ding require additional help I can’t speak on it. But if you needed it the help is there and very well structured.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

None atall that I’m aware of
